Compromising Our Military with Don't Ask / Don't Tell

Watch this video interview between Tony Perkins of Family Research Council and General Clark Mundy former commandant of the Marines and member of the Joint Chiefs. General Mundy gives insight into the danger of repealing the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy concerning homosexuals in the military. Keep it all in prayer and contact your legislator.

Great video! Great question: how would the repeal of "Don't Ask Don't Tell" increase the effectiveness of our armed forces? Obviously, people would rather skirt around that question and just do what they want to do! Thanks so much Claude. This brings light and clarity!

Shepherd of Hope Statement of Beliefs

The Shepherd of Hope blog site holds to the following beliefs:The Bible is the only inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (66 books - 39 OT; 27 NT).

God is one, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit.

The deity of Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His miracles; His vicarious atoning death; His resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; His Lordship; His personal return to Rapture His saints from Tribulation and at the 2^nd Coming in power and glory to the earth to set up His Kingdom.

Salvation is an absolute necessity because of the exceeding sinfulness of humanity. Sin separates humanity from God Who is Holy. God the Sovereign Righteous Judge condemns those who persist in their sin. The consequence of sin is death; the eternal destiny of separation from God. God's great grace and love offers a way of Salvation. Salvation is legal justification before God, spiritual regeneration, it is knowing God in an eternal personal saving relationship. Salvation can only be received as a gift by God’s grace through faith alone in Christ alone. The faith that saves by nature involves repentance.

The Church is composed of those who have been born again spiritually; believers united by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

The present ministry of the Holy Spirit in salvation and sanctification Whose guidance, gifting and empowerment enables the Christian to live a godly life pleasing to God.
